France, Le Grand Voyage
Laduree

Laduree

France is famous for their macarons, almond cookies filled with ganache, so naturally they would sell them everywhere; abd Charles de Gaulle was no exception. The most famous company that makes these sweet treats, Laduree, also makes candles, pastries, and makeup (random, I know).

Linden Trees

Linden Trees

In Nimes, there are these trees that give off the most incredible aroma. When you walk near them it smells like you're walking though the sweetest smelling perfume ever made.

Cite de Carcassonne

Cite de Carcassonne

Carcassonne is a fortified city that was constructed during the Middle Ages (Le Moyen Age). Here, I had my first scoop of French ice cream and ate a steak frites sandwich that weighed as much as a small child.

Sarlat et la glace

Sarlat et la glace

My French class friends and I made it point to have at least one scoop of ice cream a day. My friends Emily and Gio beat the rest of us by having 6 scoops in one day.

Rocamadour

Toulouse

Toulouse

The Pink City. Here, we ate at Chez McDo's (McDonalds) much to our teacher's chagrin, played around in Sephora, and saw lots of people with mohawks.

Point Zero

To place your foot on the golden circle means that you will return to Paris. We'll be back some day.

I had my heart set on recreating Harry Styles' Eiffel Tower picture and I wasn't going to let the fact that the park where he stood was closed stop me.

Musee D'Orsay

Musee D'Orsay

"Every man dies but only certain ones live."

There are carousels in every city in France. This happened to be the one I got to ride.

Chateau de Chenenceau

Chateau de Chenenceau

Fun Fact: King Henry II's wife, Catherine de Medici, and his mistress, Diane de Pointiers lived here at the same time and both women had gardens on the property. Catherine's was more beautiful but Diane's was larger.

Tours

A little rain never hurt nobody.

Promenade des Anglais

Promenade des Anglais

Nice is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been and I loved this beach more than anything.

The ice cream is divine. Don't let anyone tell you different.

The city.

Sad 1D Peeps went adventuring and managed not to get lost.

City Lights Bookstore

City Lights Bookstore

To walk in Kerouac's footsteps was incredible. I hope to be able to sell my books there some day.

Alcatraz

Alcatraz

We went into cell 14 in cell block D and it was definitely creepy.

What? It was a long day!

My dad loves this light house with all his heart. Fact.

Mystery Spot

Mystery Spot

The gravity is wacky here and no one knows why. Also, we saw an enormous banana slug.

Senior Sunset had everyone weeping like children. I will always cherish my classmates' wisdom and the fact that they let me cry onto their t-shirts.

Grad Night

Grad Night

We didn't stay until midnight but we did graduate the next day.
